A Miracle and a Giant Ham

This is going to be a GREAT day!  Jerry took the day off because I asked him to when I heard Mr. and Mrs. Boo Bear were coming down this weekend.  They are coming today, but not until tonight.  SOOOOOOO, since Jerry is off, I just suggested very sweetly -- really -- that perhaps -- just maybe -- if it wasn't too much trouble -- we could fill his truck bed up with some of the stuff in his barn and haul it to the Goodwill in Durant since we are going there anyway to buy groceries and have lunch at Chili's.

Now here is the MIRACLE part.  Not only did he agree to do it, he suggested he go over to storage and get our large covered trailer and fill it up.  Well, you can imagine my excitement.  I nearly passed out!

This means, of course, that we both will get all dirty and have to take another shower later today, but I don't care.  I have been dreaming of this day forever!

You should be here when Jerry leaves the barn doors open and the two cats decide to go in there.  One of the cats got locked in for two days because Jerry didn't know he was in there.  We thought he got eaten by a Bobcat or a Rattlesnake.  If we know the cats are in there and have to get them out; well, let me just say you better have had a patience pill that day.  By the time I finally find one of them, I want to wring its furry little neck!

I will take a BEFORE and AFTER picture.  Yeah!

I forgot to tell you yesterday about the wonderful sewing notion I purchased.  I first saw it on Ann's blog.  Ann owns Gorgeous Fabrics.  I didn't know you could even buy such a thing.  The lady, Sonia, that hand makes these is adorable.  I have already used mine and love, love, love it!  If you sew, you must get one.

Here's some pics.  For my non-sewing friends, this is called a Ham.  Pretty obvious why.  You use it to press curved areas of garments.  You can press crotch seams on this big one.

Sonia lets you choose the front and the back fabrics you want on your ham.  I wanted black and white, but this is really black and cream.  It is still wonderful.

Gotta go.  Have to put on some grubby clothes and work gloves and grab a camera.

Hugs, Joy
