Bingle Jells and Guns

Oh, my.  What a sad, sad state of affairs.  I don't know how to think or how to feel or what exactly to do about Jerry's Mom.  I called this morning to find out how she was, and the report was awful!  She had awaken in the middle of the night.  She thought it was Christmas.  She got out of bed, and she began looking all over the place for decorations.

This COULD explain why I found a Christmas decoration hanging on her mirror at Countrywood.

Anyway, the nurses went in her room to settle her down, but she would NOT be settled.  She fought them literally tooth and nail and also foot.  They had to inject her with something to stop her from fighting them.  She calmed down quickly then, and they got her back to bed.

I can only imagine what the inside of her mind must be like.  Jumping all around like a misfiring pistol to one memory -- and then another memory -- and another, but never getting the full account of the memory before it shoots off in another direction again.  How horrible to be a prisoner in your own mind.  I want SO MUCH to help her, but I can't -- nobody can.  Only God.

Good news of the day is that the brand new AC system was installed by 2 PM today at Mom's prior residence.  I got back to my own house about 4.

I did get the prettiest pendant and matching earrings made for the third piece of fabric.  Pics tomorrow -- maybe.  I am SO FULL from our make-up dinner at Outback tonight, I want to go land somewhere and be veeeeeeeeeeeery still.  Margaret and I just finished about 30 minutes ago.

Tomorrow is gun school.  Hope I can take pictures.  They may frown on such activity around guns and people who have them.

We shall see.

Plus, I probably should pay attention as I have not even shot the gun one time yet.  Jerry took it home with him to be sure I didn't attempt to be self-taught.

We spend the first 4 hours in a class.  There are supposed to be two criminals there to teach us all the stuff they do.  Hope they don't STILL do it!!!

After that, we go out into the 100 degree heat to some field, and we actually shoot our guns.  Jerry and I both are going to shoot mine tomorrow.  He already knows how to use his guns.

Have a marvelous weekend!

Hugs, Joy

  1. Roger would not have to worry about me being self-taught. He wanted me to hold one of his guns one time to see if it would fit my very small hands. My hands, with a mind of their own, immediately when behind my back. He had to do some coaxing to get me to actually hold it. See why I want to learn to shoot a gun, but I don't.

We are past three days with your MIL, so I guess we are headed for a week? I hope the episode Thursday night will help the doctors figure out what is going on with her.

    Happy sewing and beading!

    Hugs, Phylly
