Rainy Thursday, Fabric Store and Dress Form.

I am on the computer monitor at my OTHER house this evening.  I arrived here about 1 PM today.  I had to unpack groceries I brought from the other house, water all 5 plants that live here, throw the hamper of laundry into the washer WITH my magic rags, of course, empty the mailbox of all the junk mail, make an eye doctor appointment for tomorrow, and FINALLY go to Hancock's Fabric.  That was a huge disappointment except for the fact that zippers were half price.  No new fabric anywhere.  Lots of spaces were empty.  I looked all over the store for some beige fabric to match my new "clown" jacket, but I found only one piece that matches slightly.  Guess I'll have to wait for Fall for browns to come back.

Oh!  I was saying -- I am on my other -- smaller -- monitor.  I was shocked to look at my blog and see that you have to push the scroll arrow to get the whole way across it.  My other monitor doesn't show it that way.  It all fits just fine.  My head at the top of my blog on THIS monitor looks GIGANTIC!  I have tried and tried to make that strip at the top smaller, but the blogger bosses have some things preset in this, and if you want to use your own artwork, you are VERY limited.  Rebecca!?  Are you out there?  Maybe you can tell me how to shrink it and fix my blog so you don't have to scroll back and forth. 

Other than the dark skies and pouring rain that accompanied me most of the way here, it has been an uneventful day.  Well, unless you consider the fact that the President came to OK today to attempt to get us to believe that he actually had anything to do with our already-in-the-works pipeline.  If you love our President, please forgive me, but I don't trust him, and I don't believe him, and I pray the harm he has done in our country is not irreversible.  That's it for politics in this post!

I've decided I have to think of a new name for my dress form.  Jill turned out to be not so true to her word, I am unhappy to say.  I think she was just trying to not give me back my money.  I have been told at least FOUR times that pictures were being sent to me -- even once yesterday.  Still don't have any pictures at all. 



The new, fully padded dress form is on its way to me here in Oklahoma City, and I certainly will share pictures WITH YOU as soon as I get her.  That is unless I am totally disappointed and cry all day.  Let's hope that doesn't happen. 

If you think of a good name for her, let me know.  Maybe something will pop into my mind as soon as I see her faceless body.

Lunch with Phylly tomorrow and dinner with Margaret!  How wonderful to have friends again!  I get so lonely at our other house because I never see a sole (oops, guess that would be a shoe!), a soul down there unless I go somewhere to eat or to my store.  If I get lonely here, all I have to do is go to a fabric store.  People are so friendly there and most sew, of course.  Bought a new magazine at Hancock's, and I'm going to go sit in my glider with something to drink -- non-caffeine, of course -- and read every page.
