I made a video for you this morning so I'll show it to you first:
Have you all heard of the "latest" rage of grown-up coloring books? I have seen them in the stores, and started to buy some, but I haven't. Guess my subconscious mind must have known that my daughter and Margaret were going to give me some for Christmas along with colored pencils. Margaret gave me one with quilt patterns in it. It really is a fun thing to do!
After our lunch, I went to my doctor's P.A. to get my stitches out. I have YET to meet the doctor. I always see her P.A. I really like her though, so that is fine.
Just as I was leaving there, my grand daughter, Lindy, asked if she could come over. OF COURSE, she can! I was so surprised because it is a very rare treat to get to sit and talk with Lindy when it isn't any special occasion.
She works three 12-hour shifts each week at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital as a CNA. She was telling us all about her job at the hospital. I was it COMPLETE SHOCK at what this darling, pretty girl has to do there! It takes a very special person to have the stomach to get through it at all -- never mind enjoy it and go back for more. Well, she doesn't enjoy some of it, but you know what I mean.
She also goes to college and is in her second semester. She was telling us all about that too. It was so amazing to see her sitting there ALL GROWN UP and talking about such grown up topics. We are VERY proud of her!
We just got home about an hour ago, and I have ice chests to unpack and food to put away so I have to go. I'll be back soon though.

Hi Joy, I am so glad to hear you are fine and no brain injury. Your new quilt project is so cute, I think I am just as excited as you are. I just anything with flowers. I believe your February one represents the "Bleeding Hearts" plant. Please keep showing your progress.
ReplyDeleteI would like your opinion on SFD. I draft some of my patterns but alter most purchased patterns, can you tell me, in your opinion, if I would still benefit from have the SFD system? Thanks for your candor. Anne

ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on the appliqué. I want to appliqué a hawaiian inspired pillow for a friend. I have no idea how to do this. I sew garments, (made a small quilts, an experience not be repeated). I find your method intriguing, Maybe i will try it. You make things look so easy.Happy to know u are ok.
From one nurse to a future nurse, your granddaughter looks like she will be a great nurse. In general CNA's turn out to be excellent nurses. I should know I teach both.

I was going to ask if anyone could give me some advice on selecting the best lawyer if you never used a lawyer before. I suffered a fall and even after seeing a doctor, today my head pain is so severe I can barely type. How do you select a lawyer when you have 50 of them all within a few miles of each other?

It's a shame that the way the healthcare industry in this country won't even let you see a doctor when you have an appointment to see the doctor. It's not called the Physician Assistant's office or appointment, is it? I think a lot of it is that the Doctors want to insulate themselves from insurance and lawsuits for negligence.
