Imagine that lady with a laptop on her lap, and you will have the picture of my position. Thank goodness, my belly isn't quite that big. I do still HAVE a lap.
Today was a total waste of sewing time. I'm working with a new Louise Cutting pattern called My Heart's Aflutter. I am on my THIRD muslin. Muslin #1 was the slinky pink with black dots. I already forgot what was wrong with it. Way too big, I think.
Muslin #2 is wearable, but it isn't perfect enough for me. It would have been great IF I had redrawn the armhole facings and the neckline facing. I didn't think about the FBA causing the armhole to change, but it did. The neckline was changed by the round back, but not much.
Anyway, I started over on Muslin #3, and totally messed it up. It is in the garbage. I had to CUT IT OFF myself. Big mess! If I wasn't so cold and wrapped up tightly in a black hoodie and a blanket on top of that, I would take some pictures. Maybe tomorrow if Muslin #4 turns out.

I would rush home to Jerry, but he is coming up here Friday, so I might as well just stay put. Plus, Phylly is coming for another play day on Saturday.
My kitties are meowing. It is time for their dinner treat. I better get it ready.
Hugs, Joy
That's a lot of muslins. What is your max for one pattern? Good luck tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. My max for one pattern? I know EXACTLY what that is, actually. When the pattern is no longer recognizable as a pattern, then it, too, goes in the trash. Sometimes, I order it again and start over. I just did that with a Peggy Sagers' pattern.

I'm having a problem on the same pattern, but it is the over blouse. I used the small and it is huge. It is really interesting to sew together. Sounds like we have our work cut out for us Saturday. I hope I can save mine since I do like it. Next time I will make an extra small.
