Her video had hours of information, and this is just one itsy-bitsy portion of what was on it, so I hope I don't go to button idea theft jail or anything.
I have to go because I have to meet Jerry so we can go to Lowe's and buy some stuff the electrician was supposed to buy -- in my opinion -- that the hammer and nail people broke, but....
Here is the video I made for you.
Even if you don't sew, you might like this video. I bet all women can sew on a button.
Yikes! My alarm just went off. I really have to run!
Be sure to notice my duckie! And be sure to notice how I dressed that clipart girl in MY blouse!!!
And just so you can appreciate all my PhotoShop lessons, THIS is what the jail girl looked like before I turned her into me:
If you want to learn something really fun and interesting, try PhotoShop Elements. I LOVE what I can do with it, and I am a major beginner -- I'm talking "diapers and passifier" beginner!
And I almost forgot to show you the button combo. This is the blouse without hem and without sleeves and without me having time to finish it right now. And a close-up of the button combo.

Joy, could you please explain in more detail how you determined your correct shoulder slope. I know I have to adjust for square shoulders but don't know how to measure for how much compared to the different patterns. I don't subscribe to Threads Insider and the free portion doesn't help.

It is SO inexpensive to subcribe to Threads Insider. I think you get a month really cheap, or maybe free.
DeleteTo determine MY shoulders, I stood against the wall on a giant piece of paper, and my husband traced around me. Then you keep the part with your shoulders on it FOREVER, and you compare all your patterns to it. It is tricky to draw, but it is VERY valuable once you have it.

I just checked. You can get 14 days FREE of Threads Insider.

Sorry if you posted and I missed it, but which Silhouette pattern did you use for your very pretty new blue, green and white blouse? I looked on the Silhouette pattern site, but didn't recognize it. It's very pretty, and you did another wonderful job, Joy!
