My husband and my grandson have been doing guy things all day. Jerry actually took the whole day off just to enjoy it with John. He never takes days off unless it is for medical reasons, such as chemotherapy or to have braces put on his teeth.
John and his Papa have been in the front yard shooting guns for hours. I went out and shot mine for about five minutes. They worked on Jerry's dozer. They went fishing and caught so many fish they got bored. They polished some scratches out of John's truck.
I have enjoyed watching them both play outside with their toys all day. I got invited to lunch and had a great cheeseburger. They are eating leftover roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and salad WITHOUT ME tonight because I eat only one meal a day. I had my Herbalife shake about an hour ago.
I did pinch off one bite of roast beef. YUM!
John is sitting at my usual place, and the two pills you see there are my vitamins. Guess I better go swallow them!
Now, they want to go down to our pond and fish some more. Jerry wants me to go, so I have to put on some anti-chigger socks and shoes and spray them with OFF. The bugs LOVE my skin. I think I'll take the dogs -- or not. They love to go, but they don't love to mind!
Be back soon.
And here I am -- BACK ALREADY! Had to show you this picture:
Charlotte: "Anti-chigger" socks are socks that I can put tennis shoes over and then spray myself from knees down with OFF. If I don't, they crawl right up my pant legs and into my underwear and it is HORRIBLE! It happened only one time when we first moved down here. I had over a hundred bites. Chiggers love to crawl under elastic bands. Never again!
Hugs, Joy
OK, what is so special about anti-chigger socks and where can I get a pair or two?
ReplyDeleteDear Joy,
ReplyDeleteI never heard of anti-chigger socks. I REALLY want a pair too. Chiggers love me too.
Charlotte
